The experiment I did at LCC was an amazing experience to watch. Some people where struggling with drawing, they didn't know what to draw, some drew something very quickly without much thinking, people spent from 3 seconds to 20 minutes on drawing. Participants really enjoyed it, someone said 'this is such an original idea, can I do the same thing for my project?' It was a viral experience, people where calling friends up to come and draw something original, some people came back a couple of times to see how the artwork develops.
Participants were influenced by other people's drawings, people and other things. I think they especially enjoyed drawing on the top of other people's drawings, changing the meaning of the previous drawing. People were creating new images based on images already created and that's what artists do- they use knowledge, tradition and history to create something new, by adding little details, by changing the meaning of previous images.
